Visions

And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
OUR VISION
The strategic plan of ministry for the First Baptist Church of Lincoln is to develop an atmosphere of family. Our intimacy comes from our relationship with Jesus Christ. Being in a loving church creates a more relaxed atmosphere. Our friendliness can also serve as a way to help new members assimilate into the life of the church. In addition, being connected provides people with a sense of belonging and accountability to one another.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.
Research the Physical Condition of Our Present Facilities
Our building’s condition and accessibility is a concern that needs to be addressed. It is important for our church family to fully understand our present facility’s needs and limitations as we prepare for the future. We have been charged to keep the current facility operable and aesthetically pleasing, and also continue the of constructing a new church building.
Equip Our Leaders For Ministry In the Next Century
In order to facilitate the ministries of the church, people will need to be made disciples and equipped to lead others to Jesus. Pastoral staff is leading the congregation through leadership development.
Meet the Financial Goals for Our Ministries
As the ministries of First Baptist Church continue to flourish, the funding of them must be a priority. The Lord has blessed us richly and hardships have been overcome. We put our faith in God that He will continue to provide both short-term and long-term responses to our stewardship needs
Seek Out a Specific Ministry To Fulfill In Our Community
As “The Church that Cares” we have been called to care for the needs in our community. We constantly strive to take the word of Jesus to the community. Our out-reach includes other churches, clubs, community events and socials. It is our vision that this church will continue to be both a faithful witness of Jesus Christ and an important asset to our community.
